The continuing memoirs of country veterinarian James Herriot. After serving in the RAF in World War II, Herriot gladly returns home to Yorkshire and his growing family and multitude of patients. There are stubborn farmers who refuse his 'new-fangled' treatments, a goat that’s eaten 293 tomatoes, a voyage to Russia with 383 pedigreed sheep, and many more tender, funny, sad and wise stories to warm our hearts.
